Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old is a collection of cuvées developed from a unique blend of prestigious reserve wines including the oldest date of 1988.
The Maison de Champagne Veuve Clicquot presents the third issue of its Extra Brut Extra Old collection. Veuve Clicquot has an exceptional oenological heritage, rich in one of the largest and most varied collection of reserve wines in Champagne (between 400 and 500 wines).
In 2021, faithful to its art of assemblage, the Maison enriched its Extra Brut Extra Old collection with a new cuvée composed of 8 years selected from its most prestigious reserve wines: 1990, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2014. This wine has a double maturation. A first time in vats on fine lees for several years then, an additional 3 years in cellars before defrosting, bringing texture and aromatic complexity.
A precision champagne for wine enthusiasts. On the nose, the Extra Brut Extra Old 3 reveals aromas of white flowers, lemongrass citrus, white fruit and opens with notes of bread dough and orange bark. The first time of mouth reveals a great freshness, then comes complexity and depth.
